Jute Monogram

I love jute! (So, why don't you marry it?) Let me tell you, if jute was a man, it would be oh-so popular, good-lookin, and hold things together. I saw these plain letters at Joann's a while back and immediately knew what I would do with them.

I also bought an "L" (all of the letters I needed for our monogram, as a matter of fact). And I began to wrap...

...and a few days later, I was still wrapping...

...and a WEEK later, I was still wrapping...

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, 1 week and 2 lifetime movies later, I had wrapped all my letters. While I love the clean, simple look of them plain, it was time to add some embellishments.

And the finished product; our monogram.

  6. Very cute, I love them! Did you have to run a bead of hot glue on all sides when wrapping the jute, or maybe just one side of a wrap? (Did that even make sense?!?) :)
