Cranberry Vases

Every year my Mom puts out her beautiful Christmas decorations. One of my favorite decorations is probably one of the easiest to make. She buys a bag of cranberries and uses some of her glass vases that she has around the house.

She puts the cranberries in the vases and adds water, then tops it with a floating candle. A very simple, yet beautiful holiday decoration.

Crystaled Candles

Here is a quick and simple thing that you can do to turn so-so candles into WOW candles. First, you need some candles and some Epsom salt. Don't forget the Modge Podge either!

Pour the Epsom salt into a tray.

Paint the Modge Podge onto the candle. Paint it all over except the top.

Then roll your candle in the Magnesium Sulfate (Fancy words for Epsom salt!). If you need to, reapply more Modge Podge and re-roll in the salt to cover completely.

And there you have it! Beautiful "crystaled" candles.

The next time I do this, I am also going to add glitter to the Epsom salt, because who doesn't love a lot of glitter?!
