Coaster Memo Boards

Maybe it's the teacher in me, but I can't get enough post-it holders and memo holders! I was at Michael's down the dollar aisle the other day, and I spotted a set of 6 cardboard coasters for $1.00. I knew exactly what I could use them for. I grabbed them and some mini clips.

I used scrapbook paper and cut it a bit bigger than the coaster.

I then wrapped the coaster in the scrapbook paper.

I glued down the edges.

I also cut a piece of white paper to serve as a backing- just to cover up any messy edges.

I clipped on some post-it notes and added some buttons to the bottom because, well, I just kind of like buttons.

It can be displayed anywhere. Hanging on a post, or on the fridge!

Write this down: This would make a nice gift for your child's teacher, or anyone you know who jots down little notes here and there!

  23. Very cute, quick and simple -- 3 of my requisites for most projects. Love the buttons along the bottom. Am I the only one who keeps the coasters from restaurants and bars? I'm surprised they even sell blank ones -- tee hee! I just move my water or drink off the coaster onto a napkin so it doesn't get saturated with water, then put the coaster in my purse. Sometimes, when I'm not looking, the waiter will come to fill my glass, notice the coaster is missing and give me another one. Yup, I'm cheap and thrifty.
